Indian movie Barfi shines at TOIFA

Times of India started off its first film awards this year and the movie that based its story on the lives of an autistic girl and a deaf and dumb boy, Barfi, managed to keep every audience spellbound after it won the the top laurels for best film, actor, actress and director. Best Debut Actress went to the Tollywood star Ileana D'Cruz who forayed into Bollywood with a deglam role in Barfi.

Held in Vancouver on April 6th, there were lot of expected winners in the awards. Gauri Shinde had the honor of being the best debut director. Rishi Kapoor was recognized the best actor in a negative role with his show in Agneepath. Best actor and actress in the supporting role characters went to Vicky Donor, a movie that was released with apprehension about acceptance in a reserved society like India.
