People's Daily, the major branch of the Communist Party of China, has a new mega headquarters to itself and it is quite a sight to see. However, the people have not been thronging to enjoy the aesthetics of the achitectural beauty. There is a perverted side to this story. The architectural ingenuity of the of the building has been clouded by the phallic design of the building.

The building, as the people say is a giant 150 foot male genital organ forming the newer skyline of the city. However, a few have been standing by the architectural design saying that the unforseen side of the building is only visible from a few angles while the other sides have a deep symbolic value to them.

The Southeast University School of Architecture in China designed the building after winning the final bid to design the building. Creatively, they designed the building on a square base, cylindrical central portion, on which an inverted 'Y' sits. The square represents equality and the ancient imagination of the earth, the cylinder forms the round sky and the inverted Y is the Chinese word for people, indicating that the people are on top of the world for the party.

Has the internet spoiled the men so bad that such beautiful thought could be superceded by a dirty thought that only maligns the beauty of a magnificent building?
