US government has directly accused Chinese military's IT cell for the increasing no of attacks on US defense computer systems and said the motive could be to determine " military capabilities that could be exploited during a crisis."

US Secretary of Defense office revealed that over 90 percent of cyber espionage going on in the United States can be traced backed to China. The accusation is the result of Pentagon's annual report to the US Congress on China's military capabilities.

On the other hand,  Until now the administration avoided directly accusing both the Chinese government and the People’s Liberation Army of using cyberweapons against the United States in a deliberate, government-developed strategy to steal intellectual property and gain strategic advantage.
