Official figures revealed on Tuesday the fact that France remained in its position being the world's leading tourist destination in 2012, accompanied by 83 million foreign tourists, as well furthered to entertain an expanding number of Asian travellers. Moving ahead with it, France's DGCIS international competitiveness agency expressed in its annual report on tourism accompanying a new record number of arrivals by foreign tourists, France in 2012 preserved its first place in the world.

The report added expressing that the figure dashed against the previous record of 81.4 million foreign visitors in 2011.
