Indian Kashmir extensively shut down throughout the course of heavy security on Friday subsequent to the troops shot dead four people during a protest over a paramilitary invasion on an Islamic school. Moreover, shops, banks, schools as well as most government offices were closed in towns across the region, subsequent to a separatist leader called a three-day strike to protest on Thursday’s killings. An Agence France-Presse reporter on the scene expressed that Srinagar, the main city in the region, was largely abandoned following behind hundreds of police and paramilitary troops were spread out on the streets to cease moving any demonstrations over the deaths. Even though authorities have not officially declared a curfew in the intensified Himalayan region, residents mentioned they were not being permitted to continue with their business.
