Excitingly, Fox Studios brought into prominence on Thursday that Canadian director James Cameron is making three sequels to his film Avatar, which will be released between 2016 and 2018. Going to the past, the 2009 film is the highest-grossing movie on record, having collective gain of US$2.8 billion (S$3.6 billion) at the box office worldwide. Cameron had in actuality planned for only two sequels.

Cameron mentioned in a statement, in writing the new films, he have been in a realization that Avatar's world, story along with it's characters have become even richer than he anticipated, at the same time it became according to appearances that two films would not be enough to capture everything he wanted to showcase on screen.
