Actor Dilip Kumar, who won an equal number of Filmfare awards as modern day Devdas Shah Rukh Khan, has been admitted at Mumbai's Lilavathi hospital after complaining of uneasiness.
The yesteryear's Devads was called one of the greatest actors ever by Amitabh Bachchan. The actor is 90 years of age currently. He was admitted to the ICU on Sunday night, following distress.
Having taken birth in what is now Pakistan, Dilip Kumar was one of the best known supporters of India-Pakistan harmony. He has been honored with the Padma Bhushan and Dada Saheb Phalke awards from India and the Nishan-e-Imtiaz from Pakistan, which is the nation's highest civilian award.
His condition is said to be stable. However, an expert team of doctors are continually monitoring Dilip Kumar in the ICU of Lilavathi hospital.
