Court's Permission Not Needed To Have Sex-Renuka Chowdary

Congress party's spokes person, Renuka Chowdary known as fire brand, revealed her opinion on Friday that women above 18 do not need permission or endorsement from a court of law to have consensual sex.

She made the comment following Delhi Court's judgement that girls are morally and socially bound not to indulge in sexual intercourse before a proper marriage and if they do so it would be to their peril and they cannot be heard crying later that it was a rape.

The Delhi Court made the observation that first girls are indulging in sexual activity with consensus and later complaining it as a rape.

While saying that she doesn’t want to comment on the Court’s judgment, Renuka Chowdary said that it is a challenge to all the women folk.  They are entitled to consensual sex and no one’s permission is needed for that.  She says, if you are above 18 you are entitled to consensual sex without a court’s judgment or endorsement for that.

She also says that there is a lot of confusion between consensual sex and that of rape which is a brutal act.  In consensual sex the woman is willing but in rape it is not so, she further clarifies.  It is so in marriage also where some times women may not be willing.  Even that can be called as rape.

Renuka Chowdary clearly says that rapes are done even in the process of marriage when the woman partner is not willing for sexual intercourse and consensual sex is happening without a marriage too.  Meaning a rape has nothing to do with the marriage as against the observation of the court that girls should not indulge in sexual intercourse before proper marriage.
