BJP senior most leader LK Advani said on Sunday that he is very keen and wants to contest in upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Advani told reporters at a Republic Day function at his residence that he wanted to fight the Lok Sabha elections however did not mention about the constituency from where he wanted to contest.

But BJP is considering to send Advani to Rajya Sabha and is likely nominate his name also. This did not surprise the BJP leaders as they respect him and its his decision whether to contest in Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha said a party sources.

Advani represents Gandhinagar constituency from Gujarat but has opposed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's name for the BJP led NDA's Prime Ministerial candidate. However, Advani calmed down later and praised Modi in party's recent National Council meeting.
