Nationalist Congress Party [NCP] MLC Sanjay Patil has resigned to his post and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday evening. Sanjay has accused an NCP minister of harassing him which forced him to move out of party. This is a huge set back for the NCP party ahead of the General elections and BJP is planning to field Sanjay for the LS seat from Sangli constituency in western Maharashtra.

In the presence of Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde, Sanjay joined BJP and said he would expose the Home Minsiter at appropriate time. Meanwhile BJP is expecting more leaders from NCP and Munde has vowed to bring back all the leaders who left the party.
