Kejriwal expels partymen on bribe charges

Corruption seems to be not leaving the Aam Aadmi Party too. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has expelled two of his party workers for allegedly demanding money from aspirants and offering tickets.

Awadh Convenor Aruna Singh and Hardoi Treasurer Ashok Kumar were the expelled leaders. An aspirant by name Rajesh wanted to contest the Lok Sabha polls on an AAP ticket from Misrikh in Uttar Pradesh and reportedly approached Aruna Singh. In return, Ms Singh asked bribe and Rajesh cleverly recorded the statements and brought them to Kejriwal notice.

After thorough investigation, Kejriwal announced the suspension of the two leaders. Kejriwal appealed to the people to record any wrongdoing by AAP members and submit the proof to the party. “If any credible allegations surface against any candidate, we will cancel their tickets immediately,” added Kejriwal.
