Kejriwal asked to pay Rs 85000 rent

The Delhi government has issued notice to Aam Aadmi Party convenor and ex-chief minister Arvind Kejriwal asking him to pay the rent of Rs 85,000 for the official address in which he is residing. Currently Kejriwal stays in C-II/23 house at Tilak Lane in Central Delhi as an MLA and wants an extension till May till his daughter finishes her examinations.

Kejriwal resigned to the CM post on February 14th and as per norms, a minister is allowed to stay for a maximum of 15 days in the official address. Earlier this month, Public Works Department [PWD] has sent a letter to Kejriwal asking him to vacate the flat as the extension of 15 days ended.

An AAP Spokesperson responding to the notice said, Kejriwal will pay the rent and stay in the official address till May month.
