The Election Commission has granted additional security for actresses Hema Malini and Nagma in view of the teasing incidents. Chief electoral officer Umesh Sinha said security for all women and film star candidates has been increased, instructions have been issued to all the district authorities to take strict action against those who try to disturb the election process.
The decision make from the EC as the respected political parties have requested for additional security and after discussing with police officials, EC took the decision. The EC also directed for extra security to BJP's candidate from Jhansi, Uma Bharti and to Begum Noor Bano, Congress candidate from Moradabad.
Hema Malini will contesting on BJP ticket from Mathura constituency while Nagma from Meerut.
