ND Tiwari to stay away from polls

Veteran Congress leader Narayan Dutta Tiwari who has been denied ticket of Nainital Lok Sabha, might not contest as independent. Owing health issues, the former Governor of Andhra Pradesh took this decision and asked his supporters to vote for the right candidate instead extending support to his party.

Buzz is that when Congress denied ticket, Tiwari planned to contest on his own with outside support of Samajwadi Party [SP]. However, SP declined any sort of support, so Tiwari withdrew the idea to contest the polls as if he fails to win, it would be a major embarrassment.

Moreover Congress has kept Tiwari away as he was in troubles in a court case. Nainital ticket was offered to KC Singh ‘Baba’ and he filed his nomination on Tuesday.
