Citing the election defeat, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has sacked 36 members from his cabinet and minister ranked. Overall there are 43 ministers in Akhilesh's cabinet and now removing 36 members will give chance to new faces, however Akhilesh refused to step down for the post.
Samajwadi Party [SP] won only five Lok Sabha seats out of 80 in Uttar Pradesh and interestingly all the five elected MPs are relatives of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Akhilesh also warned the partymen to work harder for the Assembly elections which are slated in the year 2017.
Probably this first time in the history to sack such huge number of ministers at-a-time. This is also one of the boldest decision ever made.
