New Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani has been in the headlines over the past three days over her educational qualification and her ministry portfolio alloted. The BJP and Congress leaders are in verbal war and their tweets are creating quite a bit controversy.

Till now, Smriti maintained silence in this issue and for the first time she opened her mouth. Reporting to PTI, Smriti said to judge her by her work not by her qualification. She also added that this ruckus was created just to divert her attention from the work.

Congress Ajay Maken's tweets rose the controversy and BJP reacted quite strongly on this. BJP advised the Congress to introspect their recent Lok Sabha election defeat rather than showing their arrogance. Congress later published Smriti Irani's affidavits of 2004, 2011 and 2014 which are no way related to each other.

Smriti Irani contested against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi from Amethi in the recent elections and lost.
