`Thukool’ Oriya film to be partly shot in Oman

Thukool Oriya film to be partly shot in Oman A team of Oriya film fraternity wants to shoot their next venture on the picturesque locations of Oman like Marina in the capital, Sur, Rimal al Sharqiya (Wahiba Sands), Wadi Shaab and Wadi Tiwi.

Producer Akshay Kumar Parija and director Prashanta Nanda are planning to shoot partly in Oman their next film Thukool meaning freeze in Oriya, at the Sultanate. Since the love story has back drops in Oman, they felt the local effect would be good if shot with nativity. Incidentally, their first film, The Living Ghost, won seven state awards and enjoyed positive reviews when it premiered internationally last year. Starting in October the shooting might stretch to two weeks.

Producer Akshay Parija said they want to capture the culture, beauty and landscapes of Oman and take it to all parts of the world through celluloid. We will also endeavour to accommodate local talents both in acting and technical areas.
