Samantha ruthu prabhu already a name that sends the youth reeling under romantic dreams is now an icon in the Tollywood. Though her contribution is comparatively low in the other two films compared to her first film still she has been a hit in the front benchers. The actress and model who appears in Telugu and Tamil films, was born to Malayali and Telugu parents, Samantha was brought up in Chennai and pursued a career in modeling during her late teens.
Though her first sign up was with Ravi Varman's Moscowin Kavery in 2007, her first release happened to be the critically acclaimed 2010 Telugu romance film, Ye Maaya Chesave, directed by Gautham Menon. She has then later appeared in critically acclaimed and commercially successful Brindavanam and Dookudu.
Her next projects are also on high listing like the one with Pavan Kalyan, directed by V.V.Vinayak, which is also an action packed masala movie. Simultaneously she will be working with V V Vinayak in a yet another masala film starring Ramcharan, the project which is bound to take off this year is named as Cherry. She is also one artiste who wants to stick to South rather than foraying into the Bollywood. The 24-year-old actress explains that she is happy doing films down south and not interested to enter Bollywood at this stage. The reports related to Samantha acting in Bol Bachchan are not true and in case, if she has any plan, the actress will let her fans know, says the actress. Other than a mild controversy up her sleeves to an affair with her Dookudu co-star, which has surfaced on the media as wagging tongues are never checked, she is a perfect glamour doll of the south.
