Reports flashed across media stated that the rights of the block buster charter Kolaveri Di were bagged by Akshay Kumar for the hindi version. And the interesting factor was Akki snatched it much early before the B-Wood Badshah Sharukh Khan went hunting for it. All this was information as stated by `reliable sources’, unfortunately these sources have the power to create the news, hype the news or propagate the news. Well today another source reveals that Akki had not made the deal and the rights are still with the producers.

According to sources, the rights of Kolaveri Di still rest with the producers, and if there are any plans to make it in Hindi, it’ll be done by them. “The song is done and there are so many unofficial remixed versions already available on the net. Moreover, nobody wants to sell the rights of the song because the song is already earning money (from downloads etc). However, business deals cannot be predicted and the status might change anytime in the future,” adds the source.

Reaching over twenty million social networkers is beyond expectations of a normal Indian charter. But the maiden singing venture by actor turned lyricist and singer Dhanush. And incidentally the music scored by debutant Anirudh for Dhanush upcoming flick Mundru `3’ in Tamil, directed by his wife Aishwarya Dhanush. According to a new survey, "Kolaveri Di" has become the top downloaded track on mobile with a score of 2,10,000 music downloads within 18 days of launch beating the previous records held by "Munni Badnaam Hui" and "Tere Mast Mast Do Nain.”

And this survey is conducted by none other than the renowned Management universities in India. The Indian Institute of Management across the country has made the song a subject of academic research. Recently the IIM Ranchi initiated an open debate on the song towering peaks that were not scaled by many till date.   The points discussed in seminar were - the song becoming a huge hit without having any element of glamour, adoption of a new concept that transcends the language boundaries and the audience accepting an experimentation that's different from the traditional genre of music. .

On the whole Dhanush must be the happiest man after the song inspite of huge success in acting, he remained pertained to the language domain. But this song which has become an anthem for world over youth had brought him more laurels across the globe and it shall be history and a trend setter.
