New Zealand man earns the right to go naked..!

Till now, we have heard about right to freedom or right to speech etc as a part of our fundamental civil rights but never ever heard something like 'the right to go naked'. Yes, you heard it right, now the citizens of New Zealand can even run naked without being subjected to the offence of public indecency. Metaphorically it's an addition to their privileges for being law abiding citizens..! (Apology for the slight exaggeration here)

The real story behind this bizarre privilege was reported first in Metro, a leading UK newspaper. According to the paper, Andrew Lyall Pointon was arrested in August 2011 when a woman reported him to authorities after spotting him running naked, while wearing a pair of trainers. Subsequently the 47-year-old was detained by Police when he emerged from one of his naked runs near Tauranga. In her own words, the incident made the woman feel terribly shaken and irked but later she was disgusted even more as Justice Paul Heath upheld the nudist’s appeal against his conviction for offensive behaviour at Tauranga High Court.

"If it was offensive then God wouldn't have given us genitals," Pointon told reporters. "It is a win for all libertarians and a setback for all conservatives in the country." He added.

Now that we have this right, the real worry should be what will happen to the fashion houses of Milan, Montreal.. Paris and thousand others? For being naked doesn't require a designer after all..!
