Facades of an all-party-meet on T?

The proposed all party meet by the Congress led UPA government on December 28 gave raise to various speculations from all quarters. The TRS party that spearheaded the protests for Telangana formation had voiced a cynical opinion of the idea mooted. The TRS supremo KCR had a foot in his mouth when the Congress announced this meet. As KCR was trying all his best to woo the Telangana leaders from all parties to consolidate the party's chances in case of an emergency polls. In the wake of the YSR Congress gaining prominence KCR's move seems to be quite intelligent.

However the Congress all-party-meet put a full stop to attrition in the party and thereby foiled the bids of the TRS. In retort to this the leader outwardly slammed the ruling party in enacting a drama to garner support for the proposed FDI in Retail votes in the parliament on Wednesday. Nevertheless if this is true, the Congress had a win-win strategy in snatching the proposal from the oppositions hands. The TRS leader had also claimed that the all-party-meet was a joke by the ruling party.

Now the situation turns more precarious with the limited number of invitees from each party at the all-party-meet. If that is so other than TRS all parties have their representatives from both parts of the state. If one person is sent, will it be the leader from the Andhra region or the leader from the Telangana region. In either case the whole exercise would add up to another folly in finding an appropriate solution for the T state.

The main issue for the meet is to devise an initiative that should be a mutaully beneficial solution and should be admired from the people of both the region. Now the next issue is that if suppose each party is to send a couple of them. Then more than the formulation the internal conflict of the two leaders of the same party from either regions are sure to create chaos. Because at no point of time the two leaders are to strike a chord and that leads to  more confusions.

Though the facades of the proposed meet was to carve out a seperate state from the unified Andhra Pradesh, the issue that troubles the parties is the representatives that it would choose to the massive exercise. While many from the Telangana side voice their opinion on the issue, the main is of course the voice of Prof Kodanadram. He feels that without a road map for the T state formation, the meet would be futile. On the other hand some more feel that all leaders of the party should only be invited for discussions. Then more of a solution there, the chaos out here on the roads would be hectic, feel neutral thinkers. (Wishesh-AarKay)
