Now that the Telangana has been passed in the Parliament, the focus got shifted towards the Chief Minister post of the Telangana. Elections are likely to be held in the separate states and political parties have already began their campaign to attract the people. Well there are many contenders for the post in Telugu Desam Party [TDP] and Congress party. But political analysts are looking at Telangana Rashtra Samithi [TRS] as the survey say it is going to be the single largest party in Telangana region and is likely to win maximum number of seats with or without the support of Congress
TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced that his party would nominate a Dalit for the CM post in the Telangana state and it is upto him to go ahead with his words or not. But the TRS party cadre feel that KCR will stick to his words and a Dalit member of TRS will be the Chief Minister of Telangana if voted into power. And one name is making all the rounds in the party and he is none other than Peddapalli MP G. Vivek. He has come out of the Congress in June 2013 and from then has been actively involved in the Telangana issue. Vivek blasted ex-cm Kiran whenever he got a chance and at present Vivek is focusing on local issues in his constituency.
To the another side of the story, Vivek being a business man has promised the TRS chief and party that he would spend Rupees 100 crore for election campaign and so KCR has assured him the CM Post. Vivek is also working to bring down the influence of minister Sridhar Babu in Karimanagar district who has insulted Vivek in many platforms and is trying hard to rope Putta Madhu into TRS party. Putta Madhu was earlier part of Chiranjeevi's Prajarajyam and then shifted to YSR Congress. If Putta Madhu joins TRS, then it would be difficult task for Sridhar Babu to win from Manthani constituency for the third consecutive time. Vivek is also using his channel V6 news aggressively and these days the channel is broadcasting exclusive stories on him.
However as TRS promised of merger with Congress if Telangana is granted, KCR is seriously thinking over the proposal now. He submitted a memorandum to Sonia Gandhi on Sunday and reported said that TRS would make an alliance with Congress in the coming general elections making way for KCR's promise to make a Dalit the first CM of Telangana. Also the TRS supremo has offered all the Parliament seats to the Congress and in return KCR asked for a major share in Assembly segments. With the elections hardly two months due, KCR has been meeting all the Congress leaders with his list of proposals. If all happens according to the plan, then the lines will be clear for Vivek to become the first chief minister of Telangana state.
