Backed by the leftist parties and groups, Telangana NGO associations and Secretariat employees associations today demanded the government to with draw the GO No.177 on ‘no work-no pay’.

The NGO associations and employees unions are meting tomorrow to chalk out their future course of action to take up an agitation on the issue to ensure the withdrawal of the GO.  The GO, issued by the Government three days ago, says that there would be no pay for those employees who do not attend work in the name of agitations and strikes.

While the left parties said that GO will suppress the rights of the workers, Telangana employees and political parties have alleged that the GO was issued to suppress the Telangana agitation and warned the government that they would not keep quiet over the development.

Meanwhile, a determined government said that the GO was not a new one and is only a practical application of the decision taken by the TDP government. “There is no question of withdrawal of the GO,” said a government spokesman.
