As the 3-day rail roko began across Telangana this morning, police arrested several TRS, Congress and TDP leaders who participated in the rail roko agitation at various places.

Congress MP Mr Madhu Yashki Goud and some of his supporters were arrested when he led a Padayatra in Nizamabad town this morning for participating in the rail blockade agitation.

Police took him into custody nearly half km off the railway agitation and sent him to Biknur police station.

Vijayasanthi, Harish Rao arrested

Police arrested TRS leader Vijayasanthi and her supporters this morning at Lakdikapul railway station in Hyderabad for obstructing the moment of MMTS trains. They were taken to Khiaratabad police station.

In Medak district, TRS leaders Harish Rao and Padma Devendar reddy and their supporters were taken into custody by the police when they staged a dharna on the railway tracks at Akkannnapet.

Earlier, they had conducted a Padayatra from Ramayampet to Akkannapet along with hundreds of supporters.

Etela Rajender taken into custody

TRS leader Etela Rajender was arrested at Uppal in Kamalapuram Mandalam of Karimnagar district while MLA Mr Koppula Eswar was taken into custody in Karimnagar for participating in the Rail Roko agitation.

TDP Telangana Forum leaders arrested

Police arrested some TDP leaders of Telangana area this morning when they tried to lay siege to the camp office of the Chief Minster Kirankumar reddy. They were demanding withdrawal of cases registered against the employees’ JAC leaders and release of arrested leaders.
