Collector sold away himself to Jagan: TDP

Collector sold away himself to Jagan: TDPThe TDP Chief Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu complained to the Central Election Commission that the Kadapa district Collector Mr Sasi Bhushan had sold away himself to the YSR congress party and chief electoral officer Bhanvarlal remained a spectator to rigging by YSR Congress leaders and workers in 97 polling stations during the polling on Sunday in the by polls to the Pulivendula assembly and Kadapa Lok Sabha seats.

In a letter sent to the Chief Election Commission in Delhi on Sunday, Naidu demanded a thorough probe in to the role played by the District Collector and Bhanvarlal as they had allowed the YSR congress party leaders to resort to rigging in by polls.

Addressing a media conference in Hyderabad, senior TDP leaders Motkupally Narashimlu and Nama Nageswara Rao said the TDP president had also demanded re-polling in the 97 polling stations where the alleged rigging took place.

They said there were reports that the District Collector had taken a bribe of Rs.10 Cr from Jagan to help his party indirectly to win the by elections. “The Collector has returned 40 DSPs who went to Kadapa for poll duty, why?” asked the TDP leaders.

The TDP leaders alleged that the web cameras in most of the polling stations did not work and Bhanvarlal did not take any steps to ensure their working properly. “He didn’t even stick to the rules given by the Election Commission and his complicity is also there,” the TDP leaders charged.
