Govt ready to reveal SK’s secret document

The central government has agreed to place before the High Court the secret report submitted to it by the Justice Sri Krishna Committee on Telangana. Responding to the petition Secret document, Justice Sri Krishna Committeefiled by the former MP Mr Narayana Reddy, Additional solicitor general M. Ravindran told the court on Wednesday that it had no objection to submit the secret report to the court.
Ravindran said the government was ready to submit the secret document in a sealed cover to the honorable court and after going through the document, the court could decide whether or not to make it public.

Narayana reddy filed the petition requesting the court to direct the central government to make the secret document public. Justice Sri Krishna Committee has submitted the report on Telangana after consultations with various sections of people over a period of one year. It has also submitted a secret document to the government in a sealed cover.
The Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram distributed the copies of the report to political parties in an all party meeting but did not reveal the contents of the secret document in the all party meeting.

Narayana reddy wanted the government to make the contents of the secret document too public and sought the intervention of the High Court in the matter.
Ravindran told the court the document would be submitted to the court in a sealed cover at the next hearing.
