In a gruesome incident that took place six days ago but came to light this morning, a spurned lover killed a B. Ed student and buried her body in a college campus in Khammam district after she had reportedly rejected his love.
Raju, working as office boy in the Annie Besant B. Ed College in Ponnekallu of Khammam district killed Sarika, a B. Ed student of the same college and buried her body in the college campus to escape investigations.
Police, who investigated the case based on a complaint by the girl’s parents, suspected Raju after they spoke to the students of the college and some of the girl’s friends. Raju spilled the beans after he was arrested and said that he had killed her as she had rejected his love and refused to marry him.
The accused told police that he killed her and buried her in the campus during holidays to avoid suspicion. After the incident came to light, the relatives of the girl raided the college and destroyed furniture.
