Congress Chief Whip Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today suggested to the T area congress MLAs that they should fight for Telangana but they should fight for a Telangana state that includes North Andhra and coastal districts.
Speaking at the CLP meeting arranged by the T MLAs of congress party, Vikramarka said that congress MLAs too must fight for achieving the T state but there was a need to fight for a broader Telangana that includes coastal districts and areas along the coastal line.
“This is necessary to avoid a possible feeling among the future generations that they are cheated by the present leaders,” he said, adding that a broader Telangana which includes north Andhra and coastal areas would be ahead in development and the future generations would also feel happy.
T congress MLAs have arranged the CLP meeting for seeking the opinions of various leaders on the issue of Telangana and several leaders spoke on the occasion.
