State congress leadership, which has finalized the candidature of agriculture minister and brother of the late YSR Mr YS Vivekananda Reddy to take on his sister -in-law YS Vijayamma in the Pulivendula assembly by-election, today finalized the name of Kandula Rajamohana reddy to take on her son YS Jaganmohan reddy in Kadapa.

Kandula Rajamohana reddy, a strong man of the TDP in Kadapa district joined congress today along with his brother Kandula Siva Reddy in the presence of chief minister Kirankumar reddy and PCC chief D. Srinivas.

APCC spokesperson Tulasi Reddy told media persons that Rajamohana reddy and some more TDP leaders from the Kadapa district joined the congress this afternoon and PCC leadership has finalized his name as congress candidate to contest the by-election for the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat. “His name was finalized and sent to the high command for approval,” Tulasi reddy said.

Rajamohana reddy lost to the late YSR in the Kadapa Lok Sabha once by a very narrow margin and congress thought that he was the right candidate to take on Jagan in the Lok Sabha by-poll to the Kadapa seat.

Meanwhile, TDP announced the names of MV Mysoora reddy and BTech reddy (Mareddy Ravindranath reddy) as its candidates to fight the by-polls in Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly constituencies respectively.

Visitors of this portal are already aware that Vijayamma, widow of the late YSR and her son YS Jaganmohan reddy, are contesting the Pulivendula assembly and Kadapa Lok Sabha by-polls respectively on behalf of YSR Congress.  The polling will take place on May 8.
