The health condition of the most revered God man Sri Satya Sai Baba continues to be critical. The latest medical bulletin released by the Satya Sai Super Specialty hospital at Puttaparthi this morning said the Baba continues to sustain on ventilator and pace maker. Besides, he is undergoing dialysis for his kidneys.

The local people and lakhs of devotees are however questioning the silence of the Satya Sai Central Trust members on the health condition of the Baba. “Only doctors are speaking always and the Trust members are keeping silent, why?” the local people as well as the devotees are asking angrily. “We are in total confusion.”

Meanwhile, Puttaparthi and its surrounding areas have been looking like a police forte with more than 8000 police men guarding law and order anticipating trouble from the devotees with the health condition of the Baba deteriorating day by day.

Police have started constructing heavy barricades across the tiny Puttaparthi town raising suspicions on the health condition of the Baba further.

As the devotees have been expressing their anger over the behaviour of the Trust members, the police have arranged them security.

“It looks like a curfew is in order in and around Puttapathi town. We pray for speedy recovery of the Baba. If he is not there, the entire area will look like a ghost place,” said a local person.

With the Baba lying in hospital, the entire business activity and real estate dealings have come to a standstill, said a business man. Hundreds of business people, including members of 80 Kashmiri families have already begun to feel the crunch with no activity going on in the Prasanthi Nilayam and no devotees visiting the place.
