Hundreds of employees belonging to the Seema Andhra areas today resorted to a dharna before the office of the chief minister Kirankumar reddy at the C Block in the secretariat in Hyderabad demanding immediate payment of their salaries.
Expressing their anger at not being paid their February salary even four days after the month, they demanded the government to pay their salaries immediately irrespective of the non-cooperation movement launched by the T employees.
“If the Telangana employees are participating in the non-cooperation movement, don’t pay them but you have to pay our salaries since we have been working without resorting to any agitation,” they demanded the officials of the CMO.
“The government is very much careless about our problems and we are suffering like anything since the salaries are not paid even after four days,” the angered employees said, adding that they never resorted to a dharna like this in the past for the sake of salaries.
The junior officials of the CMO tried to console the employees saying that the Chief Secretary has been making efforts to ensure payment of salaries to the employees immediately and asked them to be patient for one or two hours but no payment came forward even at the end of the day. The dejected employees returned home empty handed.
