CPM state secretary BV Raghavulu said today that problems of the people would not be solved with the emergence of separate state of Telangana.

Speaking at a public meeting to mark the end of his 6-day fast he undertook demanding solution to various problems being faced by the SC and ST people in the state, Raghavulu said that the government has come down on some of the 50 demands listed by them before he began his fast.

“But the government is yet to make its stand clear on some of our demands and we expect it to answer the rest of the demands also as soon as possible,” he said.

Talking about the Telangana issue, the CMP leader said that the Telangana issue is not the only problem that has been plaguing the state and there are other problems too that are affecting the people.

“The only discussion going on in the state is on Telangana and everyone is thinking that if the Telangana problem is solved, all problems are solved in the state but it is totally wrong. The solution to the Telangana issue will not solve the problems of any region,” he said.

Earlier, Ministers P. Satyanarayana and Balaraju visited Raghavulu in the Gandhi hospital and requested him to give up his fast as government is considering his demands.
