Congress party chief whip in the assembly Mr K. Murali today made it clear that disciplinary action against Konda Surekha, former minister and staunch follower of the former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan reddy is imminent and the party has already initiated steps in this direction.
Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad, Murali said that Surekha’s criticism of the party president Sonia Gandhi has hurt the party workers and leaders in the state and the criticism is intolerable.
He said that the party leadership should have taken disciplinary action against Surekha long time ago and the party did not want to delay the action now. “We have already initiated the process and the action will follow soon,” he said.
The high command has passed necessary orders concerning action against Surekha and the result will be known soon to the media, he said and added that action would be taken against all those who abuse the party and the party president.
