Congress MP Sabbam Hari today lashed out at the critics of the former Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan reddy and went to the extent of likening him with the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Speaking at a public meeting at Polavaram marking the end of Jagan’s 4-day Polavaram Yatra this evening, Hari said that Jagan is like late Rajiv Gandhi and his mother Vijayamma is like the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and warned that even the central government also may collapse if the congress high command continues to neglect Jagan.

Coming down heavily against the congress leaders who have criticized the Jagan-owned daily and TV channel Sakshi, Hari said that because of Sakshi only congress came to power second time in the state. “You must remember that you have become MLAs second time due to this paper only,” Hari told the Sakshi baiters.

Congress leaders have been announcing regularly that Polavaram project would attain national status but nothing happened till now, he charged. “Every time they say Polavaram would attain national status and there seems to be end to this propaganda,” he said.

Jagan lambasts Centre

Criticizing the centre and the state government for the delay in the construction of the Polavaram project, Jagan warned that most of the regions in the state including Telangana would turn into deserts if the Polavaram project is not completed immediately.
