Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad, Yashki said that TRS chief KCR had already indicated that he had no objection to merge his party with congress if congress accepts formation of the separate state of Telangana. “KCR may come forward if the Centre indicates its willingness to form the Telangana state,” he suggested and requested Sonia to interfere directly on the issue. “The merger issue can’t be handled by the state level leaders,” he said.

Yashki however suggested there is no need for KCR to think of the reconstruction of the Telangana and the aspect of reconstruction will be looked after by the Central government after Telangana formation.

Speaking on the Justice Sri Krishna Committee report, he said the committee is meant for discussions and knowing the opinions of the people. “The centre should therefore introduce the bill on Telangana with out linking the issue to the Sri Krishna committee,” he suggested.

Madhu Yashki revealed that all congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs of the Telangana region will meet the congress core committee members in Delhi and February 14 and request them to introduce the Telangana Bill in the budget session of the parliament.
