Speaker Mira Kumar adjourned the Lok Sabha thrice today as Telangana congress MPs joined hands with the TRS members KCR and Vijayasanthi and blocked the proceedings of the house by barging into the Speaker podium and raising slogans in favour of Telangana.
The trouble started when the Speaker announced the rejection of the adjournment motion for which notice was given by the TRS member KCR. Soon after, KCR and Vijayasanthi barged into the Speaker podium demanding an immediate discussion on the issue of Telangana and raising slogans leading to obstruction of the business of the house.
Telangana congress MPs too joined the TRS members in raising slogans and as the din continued for a while, Mira Kumar tried to convince the members on the necessity of maintaining peace in the house but to no avail.
As she was unable to control the House proceedings, she adjourned the house for ten minutes for the first time. TRS members, ably aided by the T region congress members and those of BJP, repeated their feat again in obstructing the proceedings of the house. The speaker had to adjourn the house two more times as TRS MPs and their T region congress colleagues continued their slogans and blocked the proceedings of the house.
