Minister for IT Mr Ponnala Lakshmaiah today took over the additional charge of Endowments department at the Secretariat.

Lakshmaiah was asked to look after the portfolio as the Endowments Minister Jupally Krishna Rao quit his post and took up the Telangana Yatra in Mahaboobnagar district. Lakshmaiah hoped to get the PCC chief post as a replacement for D. Srinivas but the transport minister Botsa Satyanarayana has bagged the top party post in the state.

Industries minister Geetha Reddy lobbied for the post of Deputy Chief Minister but this coveted post was bagged by Higher education minister Damodar Raja Narasimha.
