3 persons were killed and several others injured when an RTC bus plying from Vijayawada to Gudiwada fell into a canal at Malikonda today.

Reports said that the driver lost control when he was negotiating a curve on the high way resulting in the crowed bus plunging into the adjacent canal. The injured were admitted into the nearby hospitals.

Senior civil and police officials have rushed to the spot to supervise rescue operations.
