Lambasting the TRS and pro-Telangana elements, Vijayawada congress MP Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal said today that Hyderabad city belongs to all Telugu people and no one has got any exclusive rights on it.
Addressing media persons in Hyderabad, Lagadapati said people from Srikakulam to Ananthapuram have settled in Hyderabad thinking that it would continue to be their state capital and no one has got any right to ask people to leave this place.
Hyderabad city contributes to 40 per cent of the total revenue of the state and it belongs to entire AP, Rajagopal said, adding that all regions of the state will develop equally if this money is spent across the state.
“The policy of congress party towards the division of the state is second SRC and congress working committee adopted a resolution to this effect in 2001,” he asserted, adding that pro-united AP parties will get 240 seats and pro-Telangana parties will get 40 seats in the state whenever elections are held.
Rajagopal said that some pro-Telangana leaders have started offering Rs.25, 000 Cr as compensation for Seema Andhra for accepting to divide the state and leaving Hyderabad and asked: “There are investments worth more than Rs.10 lakh Cr in and around Hyderabad and all the investments have come because this is the capital city. Who will give all those investments?” he asked TRS.
He charged that TRS has been misleading people by promising a job to each family after the formation of Telangana and said TRS should explain how the new jobs would come into force.
