CID police, who nabbed the Tollywood producer Singanamala Ramesh in Chennai Thursday night, said today they will soon arrest another producer C. Kalyan against whom two cases are pending.
Ramesh and Kalyan are considered very close to Bhanu Kiran the prime accused in the faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri murder case. Bhanu Kiran was avoiding police ever since Suri was murdered.
Police registered three cases against Ramesh and issued look out notices for him after he went underground. Film financier Vyjayanthi reddy complained she was threatened by Ramesh and Bhanu Kiran with dire consequences when she asked him to return the loan amount of Rs.7.5 Cr. Two video companies also gave complaints of cheating against Ramesh and Kalyan who reportedly took money from them assuring video rights of their films.
Police suspect that Singanamala Ramesh and C. Kalyan might be aware of the movements of Bhanu Kiran and are hopeful of a breakthrough soon in nabbing him. Sources said that immediately after arresting Singanamala Ramesh at the Chennai Airport, police conducted raids at several places in Chennai for Kalyan and Bhanu Kiran but the searches yielded no results.
