Former film actress and Member of Parliament Jayaprada said today that mega star Chiranjeevi would not be suitable for politics.

Speaking over in a Telugu TV channel interview, Jayaprada said Chiranjeevi did not get the time and maturity to run his party PRP successfully. Clarifying her statement, she said she was not undermining the stature of the mega star but was of the opinion that Chiru didn’t spare time to run his party efficiently.

“He was unable to spare time to the party,” she said. To a question, Jayaprada said that Chiranjeevi could not be compared to Amar Singh. “Chiranjeevi got extraordinary recognition as a star but Amar Singh is known to many as a king maker,” she said.

Telangana problem is the immediate issue that needs to be solved by the Centre, she said, adding that a situation has arisen where regional hatreds are ruling the roost. “The Centre must immediately solve the problem,” she said.
