TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu proved once again that he is the master of the political craftsmanship and no one can equal him, let alone try to beat him at that. After ensuring that his Telangana TDP leaders were the first to resign ahead of other political parties seeking separate state, the former chief minister moved with a speed greater than mercury.

The TDP Telangana Forum, at the instance of Naidu, has embarked on a mission to keep its political stocks intact and raising in Telangana. The 33 TDP MLS of the region, who have quit, have been racing ahead with a bus Yatra across Telangana to consolidate the gains that emanated from their resignations.

The TRS cadres and other pro-Telangana elements, who in the past used to create obstacles for the TDP Ranabheri programmes on the pretext that the party president has not officially announced its policy on Telangana, are now finding it difficult to obstruct the TDP activities in the region.

The political machinations of the shrewd Chandrababu Naidu have paid off as his T men are on the job to consolidate and strengthen the political fortunes of his party in Telangana giving sleepless nights to the TRS and its cadres.

The decision of the JAC chief Prof. Kodanda Ram in giving a call for the two-day bandh without consulting the TDP has become a pretext for the TDP leaders to launch their own bus Yatra. The request of the JAC to postpone the Yatra was politely rejected by the TDP Forum.

KCR at the losing end

TRS chief KCR always wanted to suppress the TDP in Telangana accusing Naidu of not coming out with an open support to the Telangana cause. But, he can’t point his fingers now at the TDP men as they did not hesitate to tender their resignations.

KCR actually thought that the TDP leaders would not resign and he could call them Telangana betrayers. But what happened was the reverse due to the political acumen of Chandrababu Naidu and the KCR plan boomeranged on him.

The ultimate political beneficiary in the entire episode of resignations is the TDP and its chief Chandrababu Naidu. Despite the hue and cry of the TRS, the TDP boss has not announced his official policy on Telangana till date and his TDP Telangana Forum is making inroads into Telangana masses with no one daring to obstruct them.
