The Telangana congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs who have resigned from their legislative posts demanding Telangana state are taking their agitation a bit forward with a fasting programme.
Denying media reports that they were going to split the party and form a new regional party in the name of Telangana Congress, the T congress leaders told media persons after a 3 hour meeting in Hyderabad today that they would undertake a 48-hour fast at the exhibition grounds from July 13 demanding formation of separate Telangana state.
The T congress leaders have also formed a 20-member coordination committee to decide their future course of agitation for achieving Telangana and Minister Jana Reddy and Rajya Sabha MP K. Keshava rao would act as its conveners.
Jana reddy said that the coordination committee had resolved to meet frequently to take stock of the progress of the agitation and take decisions after proper review of the situation.
