Senior IPS officer Mr Madhusudhan Reddy today took over as the new Police Commissioner of Vijayawada city.

Immediately after arriving in Vijayawada, Mr Reddy headed for the temple of Goddess Kanakadurga on the Indrakeeladri Hill along with his family members and had the darshan of the Goddess.

Later, he straightway went to the Police Headquarters in the city and took charge from Mr Amit Garg who was promoted as IG and transferred to Hyderabad. Mr Amit Garg was heading the Vijayawada police for the last six months.

Before taking up the new responsibility in Vijayawada, Mr Madhusudhan Reddy worked as DIG in DGP’s office in Hyderabad.
