The high court of AP on Thursday issued notices to Telangana Rashtra Samiti president Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana Joint Action Committee convener Prof. Kodanda ram and also to the state and Central governments based on a petition that sought recovery of damages from the political parties and organizations which organize bandhs and rail rokos and cause loss to the public and private properties.
The president of the Warangal district consumer forum, Mr S. Chakrapani filed the petition asking the court to direct the government to recover the losses caused to the public and private organizations because of the bandhs, rallies, rail rokos organized by the TRS and JAC in recent days.
The petitioner also requested the court to declare as arbitrary, illegal and unconstitutional the action of the government in not taking any steps to restrain the TRS and the TJAC from conducting the rail roko agitation.
The court asked the parties and individuals concerned to reply to the notices with in two weeks.
