The old city of Hyderabad celebrated the Bonalu festival today with traditional and religious fervor.

The entire old city wore a festive look for the Bonalu even as the police made elaborate security arrangements for the annual celebrations. Several VIPs too visited the Mahankali temple at the Lal Darwaja and offered prayers to the Goddess.

The most important among the VIPs and celebrities who visited the temple and offered prayers was TRS leader and MP Ms. Vijayasanthi. The accompanying picture shows the actress carrying the auspicious Bonalu on her head at Mahankali temple.
