Software giant Wipro is competing with TCS and Infinite Computer Solutions to bag the prestigious Sri Seva project of the TTD aimed at providing improvised e-services to the growing number of the devotees of Lord Balaji.
TTD has been already extending e-services like e-seva, e-accommodation, e-sudarshan and e-hundi to lakhs of its devotees but these services are yet to be extended to another 48 departments such as providing rooms, supply of prasadams, tonsuring and other related services.
If e-technology is extended to all these services, millions of devotees will be able to make use of the fully automated services. “Pilgrims will find all automated services under one umbrella once the project is implemented,” said a senior TTD officer.
The officer said that TCS, Wipro and Infinite Computer Solutions were shortlisted in the technical bids and they are yet to call for the financial bids. “In the next ten days, we will go for financial bids and finally one of them will be selected,” said the official, adding that the first phase of the project will come for implementation by December.
