Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram called up the chief minister Mr Kirankumar reddy this morning and informed him that he was sending the file concerned with removal of 14 F clause form the zonal recruitment guidelines to the office of the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for immediate action.
Earlier, Kirankumar telephoned Chidambaram and requested him to act on the file relating to the removal of 14 F based on the resolution passed by the state assembly last year. The Chief Minister also told him that there was no need for the assembly to pass a fresh resolution on the issue.
Telangana political JAC and OU JAC have demanded the state and central governments to remove the clause 14 F before proceeding with the conduct of the written examinations for the recruitment of the SIs scheduled for August 13 and 14.
The issue of 14 F has become contentious since the pro-Telangana organizations and individuals are demanding its immediate removal and have even called for a bandh on August 8 on the issue.
