Telangana political JAC convener Prof. Kodanda ram offered to stop giving calls for bandh in Telangana if the state high court came forward to ensue that the government worked according to people’s aspirations.
Reacting to the notices served on him and the TRS chief KCR by the High Court in connection with the petitions filed by some lawyers opposing the frequent calls for bandh, Kodanda ram told media persons today in Hyderabad that strikes and agitations were their fundamental rights.
“We are resorting to organizing bandhs and agitations as the government has not been functioning in tune with the aspirations of the people of the state,” he said.
Speaking about the Centre’s decision to remove the clause14 F from the guidelines of the recruitment of SIs, he demanded the state government to postpone the examinations even if the clause is removed as the students needed time for preparation.
“Those who are opposing the all people’s strike are the opponents of Telangana state,” he said, adding that people are voluntarily participating in the bandhs.
