PRP founder-president Mr Chiranjeevi said he would take congress membership and formalize his party’s merger with the congress on August 20 in the presence of the party general secretary Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.
“I will take the congress membership at a simple ceremony in the AICC office in the presence of Rahul on August 20,” he told a press conference in Hyderabad. “Other members of the stop-gap committee of the congress party Mr Ahmad Patel, Janardhan Dwivedi and Defence Minister AK Antony will also attend the programme,” said Chiru.
The mega star said that PRP senior leaders and MLAs would join the congress at the Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on August 22, his birth day. “Chief Minister Kirankumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana will attend this function,” he said.
